The results are in!

A staggering 217,102 dance music fans voted in DJmag’s 2006 Top 100 DJs poll.

That’s 90,000 more than last year and a true indication that dance music is still a massive global phenomenon.

TranceAddict’s annual Top 250 DJ Poll’s results were released minutes ago. This year having a record number of entries (over 18,500) from registered forum members from around the globe we see a nice prediction for the more officially respected DJ Mag Top 100 poll, set to be released this coming weekend.

Special mention to Eddie Halliwell, Andy Moor, and Kenneth Thomas taking in the 11th, 16th, and 52nd spot respectively. Congrats to all in the list and we’re all looking forward to the more official DJ Mag results this weekend.

This month’s promo mix of “BOOM” is my recorded set from the broadcast I did with Eddie Halliwell. Due to Eddie’s massive energy and fusion of house/trance/techno, I felt I needed to warm up for him accordingly. So I started things off with some nice and groovy house tracks such as “Chris Lake - Release” and “Dave Spoon - At Night”. Things move into a more electro and tech style with “My Digital Enemy - Elektro Joker” coming hot off the press from the Brighton trio of Keiron McTernan, Sergei Hall, and Harry Diamond. Moving along we hit a massive tech trance mainroom tune with Sander van Doorn’s remix of “S.O. Project - Direct Dizko” which absolutely tore the roof off of Kool Haus in Toronto this past weekend. The rest of the mix is a mix of tech trance and techno to finish things off.
