BOOM Radio Show

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Just passing over Episode 70 of BOOM was quite an achievement. It’s been an awesome run doing a weekly show, but for those who have been following the show I’m sure you’ve wondered why there have been a lack in episodes.

Unfortunately I’ve realized that I’m far too busy to release a weekly episode any more. It’s becoming more like a chore to just put out a show every week, and I promised myself that if it ever became something that wasn’t fun that I would change it up. So that’s what I’m going to do.

After next week (November 6th), I will be moving the show to a monthly episode. I find I will have more time to concentrate on making a proper mix with solid tunes instead of just firing together a mix for the sake of putting out the weekly show.

DJ Mag 2007 Results

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

The results are in, the party is happening right now and after 5 years on the poll Armin has finally secured himself number one. While the controversy surrounding the legitimacy of votes has been a bit more public this year, the results are surely going to stir around the virtual water cooler. From the look of things the results seem to catch the state of play quite well.

My congratulations go to Armin for sheer persistence, Sander Van Doorn for making a splash at 15, Andy Moor for placing 30 and just pipping Gareth Emery at 31, and to all who made the list; thanks for music!

Here are the top 10:

1. Armin van Buuren
2. Tiesto
3. John Digweed
4. Paul van Dyk
5. Sasha
6. Above and Beyond
7. Carl Cox
8. Ferry Corsten
9. Infected Mushroom
10. David Guetta

AVA Recordings

Monday, October 8th, 2007

I’ve been incredibly busy these days as you may have noticed from the complete lack of attention given to this website. I really do apologize as I like to always keep things updated. Talk about slacking!

Well part of me being so busy is my partnership with AVA Recordings owned and created by UK superstar producer and DJ, Andy Moor.

I’ve taken over the reigns as A&R (Artists and Repertoire) manager for the label, making sure the label has the cream of the crop as far as releases go.

More updates to come soon though, feel free to check out the AVA Recordings official website for more information on upcoming releases and other exciting news.
